With the control HyperCard 2.0 gives over HyperCard‚Äôs menus, you can append items to existing menus and add new menus to the menubar. You can enable, disable, and delete existing menus and menu items, or assign command-key equivalents to a menu item, alter the name or text style of a menu item, and specify a HyperTalk message to be executed whenever the item is chosen.

  12. EXCEPTIONS: Because they are not standard Macintosh menus, the Tools and Patterns menus can only be disabled or deleted. For reasons of performance and compatibility, the same restrictions apply to the Apple and Font menus.
